Installing FiveM

New to FiveM? Here's how to get started:

  1. 1
Make sure you own a legal copy of GTA V (Steam, Epic Games, or Rockstar Games Launcher)
  2. 2
Download FiveM from the official website: https://fivem.net/
  3. 3
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions
  4. 4
Launch FiveM for the first time - it will download necessary files
  5. 5
Once loaded, connect using the official join link: https://cfx.re/join/zjvlyrd
  6. 6
Create your character and start playing!
Never download FiveM from unofficial sources, and make sure GTA V is fully updated.

How to Clear FiveM Cache

If you're experiencing issues like infinite loading screens, missing textures, or server connection problems, clearing your FiveM cache can often resolve these issues.

  1. 1
Close FiveM completely (make sure it's not running in the background)
  2. 2
Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog
  3. 3
Type the following and press Enter:
  4. 4
    %localappdata%\FiveM\FiveM.app\data
  5. 5
    Delete 'cache', 'server-cache' & 'server-cache-priv'.
  6. 6
Restart FiveM and try connecting again
This will clear all cached data including custom server resources, so the first load may take longer than usual.

Fixing Connection Issues

If you're having trouble connecting to the server, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. 1
Make sure you're using the latest version of FiveM
  2. 2
Clear your FiveM cache (see guide above)
  3. 3
Disable any VPN or proxy you might be using
  4. 4
Temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall to see if it's blocking the connection
  5. 5
Check if the server is online (you can see the status on our homepage)
  6. 6
Try the official join code in the F8 console: connect cfx.re/join/zjvlyrd
  7. 7
Restart your router/modem if the issue persists
If none of these work, contact staff in Discord with your FiveM logs.

Fixing Voice Chat Issues

If your voice chat isn't working or others can't hear you:

  1. 1
Check your FiveM audio settings (F8 console, then audio settings)
  2. 2
Make sure your microphone is set as the default recording device in Windows
  3. 3
Grant FiveM microphone permissions in Windows Privacy Settings
  4. 4
Check your voice activation/push-to-talk key binding in FiveM settings
  5. 5
Test your microphone in other applications to ensure it's working
  6. 6
Disable any voice modulation software that might interfere
  7. 7
Try using a different USB port if using a USB microphone
If you can't hear others, check your output device settings and game volume.

Optimizing FiveM Performance

To improve your FiveM performance and reduce lag/stuttering:

  1. 1
Lower your GTA V graphics settings (especially MSAA, Reflection Quality, and Distance Scaling)
  2. 2
    Close unnecessary background applications
  3. 3
Update your graphics drivers to the latest version
  4. 4
Increase your Windows virtual memory/page file size
  5. 5
Use these launch options in FiveM settings: -high -noDui
  6. 6
Disable Windows Game Bar and Game Mode
  7. 7
Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements for FiveM
For best performance, we recommend at least 16GB RAM and a dedicated graphics card.
